Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): XbaI--20.0, 11.0, 9.2, 4.4, 1.7, 1.25; SacI--20.0, 9.2, 7.0, 4.4 (doublet), 1.2, 0.9; XhoI--20.0, 9.2, 9.0, 7.8, 1.25; SmaI--20.0, 13.5, 5.8, 4.6, 2.5; PvuI--23.0, 12.0, 8.2; HindIII--23.0, 14.0, 2.7, 2.2, 1.4. The insert contains the following restriction sites (approximate kb from the 5' BamHI site): HindIII--3.5, 4.8, 6.3, 8.6, 10.3, 12.4, 15.2.
